Guild Activities

Guild activities are important to the guild. It is how the guild earns raid tickets so that we can start things like The Pit or the other raids. Each guild member can earn a maximum of 600 raid tickets a day. As incentive, you also earn “guild tokens”. The more that the guild works on the guild activity, the higher the tier unlocked. The higher the tier unlocked, the more guild tokens earned.

Trick #0: Fore Knowledge

This isn't much of a trick, but a simple statement of fact: SWGoH tells you ahead of time what the next guild activity is going to be. Go to the guild home page; click on “Activities”. On the guild activity page, the tiers are listed on the left two-thirds of the page. On the bottom of this section, usually under the last lock icon, is what the next guild activity is going to be.

Trick #1: Double Guild Activity

This trick works for Challenges and Squad Arena Battles. For confusion sake, I'll use “challenges” as an example, but keep in mind that it works with squad arena battles as well.
Trick #1 is going to double the number of challenges that we get credit for. Normally, there are 10 challenges (8 under “challenges” and 2 under “ship challenges”). We're going to get guild activity credit for 20.
Trick #1 uses Trick #0 combined with the guild activity is changed before the daily activities are reset. Unferth is on Pacific Standard Time. If memory serves (and I should look this up before posting), the guild activity transitions at 6pm PST (7pm PDT, 9pm EST, 10pm EDT). Unferth's daily activities reset at 12pm PST. This gives Unferth a 6 hour gap to work guild activities before the daily reset.
Okay, what does this mean? Let's assume that we have the following guild activity schedule:
  • Monday before 6pm PST: Cantina Energy
  • Monday after 6pm PST: Light Side Battles
  • Tuesday before 6pm PST: Light Side Battles
  • Tuesday after 6pm PST: Challenges
  • Wednesday before 6pm PST: Challenges
  • Wednesday after 6pm PST: Hard Mode Battles
How does Unferth take advantage of this knowledge and double credit for guild activity for challenges? On Monday, at 6pm Unferth goes to the guild activity page and sees that the current activity is light side battles – and more importantly, the next activity is challenges. So, Tuesday morning after Unferth's daily activities reset, he does not do any challenges until after the guild activity changes at 6pm. Tuesday evening, after 6pm, Unferth does his challenges scoring 10 points towards his guild activity.
Wednesday morning sometime after his daily activities are reset (and certainly before the guild activity changes at 6pm), Unferth does his challenges again – scoring another 10 points towards his guild activity for a total of 20.
Let's take a look at the time line in outline form:
  • Monday 6pm PST, guild activity changes to Light Side Battles
  • Monday after 6pm PST, Unferth checks guild activity and learns
    • Current guild activity: Light Side Battles
    • Next guild activity: Challenges
  • Tuesday 12am PST, Unferth's daily activities reset
  • Tuesday 6pm PST, guild activity changes to Challenges
  • Tuesday after 6pm PST, Unferth does his 10 Challenges for Tuesday.
  • Wednesday 12am PST, Unferth's daily activities reset
  • Wednesday before 6pm PST, Unferth does his 10 Challenges for Wednesday.
  • Wednesday 6pm PST, guild activity changes
If we look at the above, Unferth earned 10 points towards guild activity on Tuesday evening and another 10 on Wednesday during the day for a total of 20.
If we have just 10 people in the guild, and everyone works this angle, the guild can get credit for 200 Daily Challenges.

Trick #2: Triple Galactic War Nodes Guild Activity

If you liked the Trick #1, hang on. We're going to triple our Galactic War Nodes. We're also going to stretch my ability to explain things. For confusion value, “GW” is Galactic War and “GWN” is a Galactic War Node (a single battle in the Galactic War).
In order to understand Trick #2, you have to understand Trick #1. Read that first. Understand it. If you don't understand it, I'll assume I did a poor job explaining it. Leave a comment, asks questions, I want you to understand (and use) that trick.
Assuming you understand the Trick #1, the major addition for Trick #2 is that when the daily activities reset, the Galactic War Nodes are not reset, but rather the Galactic War Restart Button is reset. They aren't resetting the galactic nodes with daily activity reset; they're resetting the restart button – and you can control when the restart button is used to restart the Galactic War (which resets the Galactic War Nodes).
Here's how Unferth will take advantage of this:

  • Sunday, Unferth does his Galactic War, leaving at least one GWN for Monday's daily activity
  • Monday 12am PST, Unferth's daily activities reset (resetting his GW restart button)
  • Monday 6pm PST, guild activity changes to Catina Energy
  • Monday after 6pm PST, Unferth checks guild activity and learns
      • Current guild activity: Cantina Energy
      • Next guild activity: Galactic War Nodes
  • Monday after 6pm PST, Unferth goes to the Galactic War and
    • Finishes the Sunday's Galactic War (getting Monday's daily activity credit)
    • Restarts the Galactic War, but does not start any Galactic War battles
  • Tuesday 12am PST, Unferth's daily activities reset (resetting his GW restart button)
  • Tuesday 6pm PST, guild activity changes to Galactic War nodes
  • Tuesday after 6pm PST, Unferth goes to Galactic Wars
    • Finishes the galactic war started on Monday (hopefully getting credit for 12 GWN)
    • Presses the GW restart button.
    • Finishes the galactic war just started (hopefully getting another 12 GWN; total of 24)
  • Wednesday 12am PST, Unferth's daily activities reset (resetting his GW restart button)
  • Wednesday before 6pm PST, Unferth goes to Galactic Wars
    • Finishes any GWN that he can.
    • Presses the GW restart button.
    • Finishes the galactic war just started (hopefully getting another 12 GWN; total of 36)
The hardest part with Trick #2 is the discipline to not complete a Galactic War once it is available. To hopefully make that easier, you should get into a routine of restarting the Galactic War once it is complete; but don't work the Galactic War until tomorrow.
